Van joined DFDG May of 2023, shortly after graduating from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. So far, she has enjoyed being in the professional world of architecture and learning about the practical/technical side of design. After a few years in the field, she hopes to return to graduate school and get her master in architecture before becoming licensed.

Beyond work, Van is an avid lover of the outdoors. She spends her weekends camping around Michigan and loves to explore new trails. Food is also a big part of her love language and recently she has been trying to combine the two, experimenting with new recipes in her backcountry kitchen. If not outside or over the stovetop, you can usually find Van with a warm cup of coffee, cuddling her two dogs (Tofu & Mufasa), or decorating her new apartment.
